BMICH welcomed a team of 35 MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) travel agents from India recently who visited Sri Lanka.  The visit was to ascertain and familiarize themselves with the facilities offered by BMICH for conferences, destination weddings and special events.

“India being one of the largest MICE markets, we want to promote BMICH on “TURN KEY” basis, as a convenient and exotic location with a multitude of state of the art facilities from conference venues, entertainment and gastronomic delights for the Indian corporate sector to host their corporate events as well as for the discerning Indian travelers to celebrate their weddings and special events” said Sunil Dissanayake-Chief Executive/Director, BMICH, who invited the Indian MICE Agents to visit the iconic landmark.

The 35 MICE agents were given a comprehensive tour of the 33 venues (21 indoor & 12 outdoor) available at BMICH and each MICE agent was presented with a Sri Lankan memento as a souvenir of the visit and the tour of the BMICH.

A participating MICE agent said “BMICH is a wonderful venue and the biggest in South East Asia which offers a full array of facilities and infrastructure to host mega corporate events.  Furthermore, Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with friendly and helpful people which makes BMICH an ideal venue”.

It is expected that the MICE travel agents from India will spread the word amongst the corporate and destination travelers in India and promote the BMICH as the venue of choice for MICE functions and Sri Lanka as an exotic and “all in one” destination.
